Aspire2 is managed by a board of Trustees, who are responsible for ensuring that we meet all requirements, as laid down by the Charities Commission. Our Trustees are drawn from the 10 schools within the Whitley Excellence Cluster, local residents and colleagues who work in South Reading. As a group we meet every 6 weeks, and our meetings are open to both Trustees and Partners.
We recognise that sometimes people do not have the time to commit to being a Trustee, so we welcome Aspire2 Partners, who bring a wealth of experience and additional support to the charity.
Links and partnerships with other charities and organisations:
We know how important it is to link with other organisations that work in our community, and we are delighted that our Partners include colleagues from Earley Charity and The University of Reading who have been immensely generous in supporting local projects through Aspire2.
We also have good links with Reading Family Aid, who regularly offer our families day trips/respite opportunities and Berkshire Community Foundation. We have also worked closely with Berkshire Women's Aid in the offer of Healthy Breaks; and The Avenue School. Our business partners also include Image Box, who manage most of our publicity, for which we are very grateful.
