Aspire2 was established through the efforts of headteachers and governors in the 10 South Reading schools which form the 'Whitley Excellence Cluster' (WEC). The charity was established to support the Whitley Excellence Cluster and activities in and around the Whitley community. The charity is managed by a board of Trustees who are appointed from the local community, schools and services. We are also lucky enough to have Partners working with us, who provide additional expertise and help. Over the past 5 years, Aspire2 has raised over £240,000 which has supported a wide range of local projects and programmes.
Funds raised by the charity support 3 key areas:
- Development of a residential site at Ufton Court
- Annual WhitFest event
- Holiday and after school activities for the community
